The uttermost goal of a parent is to instruct their children to be independent and this training begins the moment you fetch home your new baby. As the baby starts to become alert and active in the new surroundings they learn to be independent. A newborn starts formulating their fine motor attainments the moment they are born with squeezing their fist and facial movements. They are also working on their gross motor accomplishments as they stretch and flex their arms and legs, and breath those deep breaths that fill their lungs with necessary oxygen they will now need to survive. The primary year of life a baby’s development is ordinarily still measured in trimesters or 3 month intervals. There are two main attainments your baby will learn to master and they are referred to as gross motor achievements and fine motor skills. Gross motor achievements will enable a child to sit up, walk and throw a ball. Fine motor accomplishments enable us to hold a pencil, use scissors and play finger games. Infant muscle development begins with the baby attempting to lift it is head. You will find the original major development will be the baby keeping up the head as the neck muscles strengthen. From there it is onto being capable to roll over and sit up without help. As your baby develops each of these achievements you will observe the need for more challenges as their selfconfidence builds. Every baby formulates at their own pace so do not be alarmed if your new baby is not fabricating at the same rate as another. It is essential that you provide age suitable toys for baby no matter what the learning stage is. Age suitable toys provide essential new learning systems and reinforcement of ones that are already mastered. Although eye-hand coordination is dissimilar than fine or gross motor attainments they will be fabricating at the same time. This peculiar skill will grant the baby to pick up little objects and feed itself. They last with repeated use for several months then ours eventually develop a crack in them from being thrown on the floor. I do hand wash mine even though they state top-rack dishwasher safe and I believe that helps them last a little longer. My sons are at the age where we are transitioning them from sippy cups to regular cups and these are perfect for that in-between stage. These are also labeled plastic type 5 which is polypropylene which is considered safe and does not leach BPA (bisphenol-A) into foods and beverages like some plastics can. That makes me feel better and sets my mind at ease about using these with my children. Make sure that you put the lid on the cup and then insert the straw. If you are refilling and take the top off with the straw still in and then replace, liquid will come shooting out the straw. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Basically these are a thick plastic version of a fast food to-go cup. We have been using the 1st cup from the pack for 2+ months now and still haven’t had to move on to cup #2 (note-we don’t have a dishwasher). We use this with crazy straws, bendy straws, etc. I haven’t actually used the provided straws much (I’d rather use cheap disposable straws bought in the 100 pack and toss them than wash a straw, call me wasteful). i was just talking about these at our play group yesterday and found many moms in our group prefer the nice simple basic Take n Toss line over ridiculously fancy sippy cups. Sometimes simple (and cheap!) really are best. A side note for any parents with special needs: my daughter does “straw therapy” for speech and these fit Talktools straws perfectly too. |
