With the winter nights coming, there is not one thing nicer than climbing into a lovely warm bed. With a heap of a good deal of dissimilar models available, electric blanket reviews are a handy way to determine which one to buy.
There are numerous brands on the market from Sunbeam to Biddeford to Sealy. I think Sunbeam electric blankets are splendid value for money. The materials applied are very soft and most models come with an automati off safety feature. Very handy if you are like me and tend to forget to turn it off.
When you buy an electric blanket, queen sizes may be rather discouraging and hindering as they never appeared to fit my queen bed. One side is always left a little short. The sunbeam queen box premium heated blanket was my best investment so far. Not only does it provide plentiful cover for my bed but it likewise gives dual control. This has stopped the arguments over one of us being too hot while the other was freezing. With my husband working occasional night shifts, it has likewise saved us money. I would commend this to all of my friends.
The Biddeford electric blanket is also good value for it is price. Not only does it heat up very well but it also gives plentiful coverage for a queen size bed. I do wish they would tone down the colors though as personally I find the blues and burgundy a little strong for bedroom colors. Perhaps they would fit in a child’s room better? But if you ignore this little aesthetic issue, these blankets do heat up very well though the dial is very sensible so the temperature may modify in your sleep. They are machine washable which is a plus element in our house when breakfast in bed often end ups over it!
Sealy electric blanket queen is also a good model to buy with most users saying that it worked very well at heating the bed. With prices from $40 upwards you are not going to break any budget buying this make. The most mutual complaint is that they may be difficult to wash but the good news is that the size of the king and queen electric blankets weren’t criticized.
Personally I have never applied a soft heat blanket as they are outside my budget for my little luxuries. I would be very mesmerized in attempting one even though as they look and feel fabulous. However reading a good deal of other electric blanket reviews on this make, I think I may have made the right decision in not buying one. The main problem appears to be that the soft heat electric blanket doesn’t last for very long whereas both Biddeford and Sunbeam seem to last for years.
It does pay to look at electric blanket reviews when purchasing your new product. The last thing you want is to buy something that is supposed to leave you with a nice snug sentiment but rather you end up with frozen toes and an empty wallet.

 Preheat Function

The blanket itself is sheer luxury, but I had to return because of the preheat or warming function.. It is automtic and for an initial 30 minutes heats at the high setting before it switches to your selected setting which for me is in the lower numbers. Now this is no problem if one wants to warm the bed prior to retiring but to switch the blanket on in the middle of the night it is dangerously hot and awoke me from sleep because of the extreme discomfort. The blanket this replaced had the preheat as an option and in the future I’ll have to be certain that this is what I get.

 absolutely the most perfect warming blanket

I purchased this wonderful warming blanket a month ago. I use it every night. Heats evenly. Extremely soft. It is true. You cannot feel any wires, turns off in 10 hours if you go to sleep and forget to turn it off. One problem, I do not want to get out of bed. Feels like the most expensive blanket on the market, but keeps you so very warm. I have purchased many warming blankets in the past and ended up dicarding them after one month or one season of use. Definately worth the money. You will not be sorry. If you are tired of getting into a cold bed or have a blanket that just does not feel soft and luxurious and first and foremost does not heat evenly, then what are you waiting for?

This blanket leaves nothing to be desired

I have never been one to promote anything, yet here I am promoting this blanket. I was excited to receive it and when I opened the package, I couldn’t believe it – where are the wires?! I was amazed, but then I wondered – can it really heat up? So many people complain about other blankets not getting hot enough. They often complain that we now have “warming blankets”, not meant to “heat” the bed, but just to take the chill off. Well, I can tell you this much – you get into bed and the first 10 seconds you think, “Is this on?” Then, in 15 seconds, you say “hmm, I’m getting warm.” Shortly thereafter you say, “A little toasty – and only on 6!” Finally, the last comment is, “Ok, turning it down now.” I am impressed and I am not an easy person to impress. Frankly, if it only lasts one or two seasons, it will have paid for itself. It is lightweight, super-soft, fluffy (not cheap and thin like others), very warm, near wireless, and best of all, I don’t have to pile on additional blankets during the night. Oh, and another thing… I have seen some reviewers complain about the two plug-ins for a king (which I have). NOT a big deal. No idea what the fuss is about. I ran the wires underneath the mattress and plugged in on either side of the bed. Worked out great (if you don’t have enought outlets, get a 3-way adapter – it’s $3! – or an extension cord). I don’t think you can go wrong with this blanket.
