What If You Could Ask Anyone For Help? Have you ever noticed how occasionally you are at your most originative when you are interacting with another person? You and your friend or acquaintance feed off of each other’s ideas and aid each other clarify things. Well what when it comes to those times when you are alone, or you have no one you wish to part your ideas with? What may you do then to stimulate originative thought and to find graceful solutions to your problems? You could try talking to Albert Einstein. Okay, you might want to talk to Andrew Carnegie or Lee Iacocca if your problem has to do with making a factory more productive. A question regarding love might be better addressed to the Dalai Lama. The point is to have a speech in your head with a historical person or expert who may support with your peculiar problem. Why would you want to do this? Your Imagination Needs Form To Function Whether you realize it or not, you have a powerful imagination. What you may not have, however, is a powerful way to use it. That is what you get with a speech in your head; a way to access the originative power of your mind. You will be surprized how many times your imaginative Einstein comes up with an interesting idea, or asks you a question that formulates something useful. Try it in this way: Use the effigy of somebody who you respect and know something about. This is so you may effortlessly imagine what they might say. It may be a fictional reputation – in fact, this may be even better. Explain the circumstance to this person, and listen to what they have to say. Remember those WWJD pins and stickers? WWJD stands for “What Would Jesus Do?” Young christians wore these pins (still do, I believe) as a source of guidance. Whether you are a christian or not, you may perceive how in a time of confusion, this simple question may without delay clarify the circumstance and concede a right decision. Think with regards to this for a moment. All the info necessary to make a right decision might be there in a young man’s head already, and yet there is confusion. Imagining what Jesus would do or say is all it takes to “see” the answer. So commence talking with your imaginative friends (in your head please). Ask for aid with personal, business, moral and any other problems. This is a powerful way of drawing on the power of your unconscious mind, and it will work for you if you give it a chance. |

Just let it be recorded for history that Mekong Doctor Blues, a disciple of this blues genius, makes it known that Albert Collins was-is-second to none in the blues universe -no disrespect meant to the other fine fine players who lived happily in his shadow…He is the epitome of the blues artist delivering his licks and grooves from the very heart of the blues from deep inside his heart and soul. Stand a statue tall to this humble man so that he may never be forgotten for his contribution.
Geneva

This man can milk more raw power out of one note than any blues artist I’ve ever seen, Beck, Clapton, Vaughn, anybody. Gary Moore, no slouch himself, toured with Collins for four months, and said, “I was up there every night with him and a lot of the time I wouldn’t even bother to play; he’d come on and I’d like stand back and play one chord every couple of bars and just watch him …” Guitar Techniques Magazine, July 2010. One of a kind.
Marlin
Now that’s soul!

The sax player looks like Ian Dury in a mullet wig.

@yolchie no worries man, it’s all about quality not quantity. That’s what makes it special. It’s kind of like “Oh you don’t want to eat that? Great more for me!”
Buddy
Amazing performance… He also has a really great band. The piano, the sax… Incredible…
Anyway,… I am also able to appreciate the music made by people like Vai, Petrucci, Maalmsteen (well, he isn’t one of my favourites, but he did some nice things though…).There are many ways of expressing feelings through music. You can understand, and share that feelings with the performer, or not… But this doesn’t make his music better or worst. It’s like ice cream: which flavor is better?
