Certainly, for numerous of the older generation (which I am a share of) and for movie aficionados, The Magnificent Seven and the daunting role of Chris, played by Yul Brynner brings back a great deal of intimate images and in all probability gets you humming the theme song. Awhile back, we paid tribute to the arrival of a particular little man and later, we celebrated his fourth birthday and all of the events leading-up to this key event. In that three year span, we may spotlight innumerable actions and events to chart his progression and to detail those little things that he has done to fetch a smile and galore sunshine to our lives. These are the things that fond memories are made of. Things that most of us miss in our hectic and perplexed lives. If we could only stop for a moment and compensate attention, it is noteworthy what we may capture and experience. These things may not reach or have the same affect on others, even though they have had a unfathomed affect on us: Standing on the deck of a ferry traveling amid Burlington and Point Kent with the little guy running on deck asking where the lighthouse is and expecting to arrive in China at the end of the trip. A procedure trip throughout Lake Champlain for us and a Great Adventure for him! Walking the streets in New York City just before Christmas, with the little guy in awe at the Macy’s window presentment and having real Deli vs. the stuff we get in New Hampshire. Was convinced that he would be taken with the Skyscrapers and the raw experience of the persons and city life None of that made an impression. We could have been in Timbuktu and he would have had the same reaction. Funny how you suppose a given impression and the actual result is so different. He likewise thought that the Parkade in downtown Manhattan was awesome. Go figure! Well, Robert Downey Jr. may have found his place in Ironman, nonetheless he would flip at seeing what affect his movie reputation has had on the little guy and all of his friends. Everything is Ironman. The helmet, gloves, action figures, sketch books, drinking cups and you name it. Just hope that they don’t try to imitate Ironman’s aerial stunts! Always a grandparent’s concern, though you love to see the theatrics and heroics. School was a big winner, for the duration of this time slice for the little guy. He overcame a lot of setbacks and obstacles. A sign of someone that will cope and fare well in life. Integrated well and put-out a great deal of real quality work this school year. His pictures now have a clear intent and the artisan in him is beginning to show. Picasso? We’ll see. Although he played in the peewee league, this little guy strutted his stuff each weekend on the soccer field. Amazing how he handled the ball this season. Always with an eye on teamwork. He was the huge scorer for the team, the playmaker and the little girl on the team that was struggling to keep up always had her eye on him. Makes a parent and grandparent proud. The little guy had his cheering section there each weekend. Maybe, that’s percentage of what keeps him up and moving forward. There are so a great deal of moments that are worth everything to capture and remember. At this stage, I’m satisfied just sitting down with the little guy and having an ice cream cone at Hayward’s or going to his bestloved places: the mountains, the ocean or the lakes and plainly tooling around. I hope this life’s privilege will always be there. The probability to spend worthful moments with a special little guy, our grandson Levi. Unquestionably, Mr. Sunshine.
