My son is 2 and just discovered Wow Wow Wubbzy and he absolutely loves the show. This toy did not disappoint. He plays music and says a few silly things. I wish the tail was a little softer and I could do without the tooting sound, but oh well. My son loves it!

My 4 yr old Loves Wubbzy!

My 4 year old has loved the show for a while and we were finally able to order one from Amazon. It took almost 2 weeks to come in though. But, it was worth the wait! It’s really nice and plays a couple tunes and says a few words when you press the nose. Wish it was a little softer though. The tail is really weird. Don’t know what’s inside there. It’s not wire, more like a rubberband type thing. Over all I’m glad we got it!

ocasionally surprises you by saying something when you press his nose. tail isn’t that bendy either but one of the only plush wubbzy’s out there was hoping for more.very sturdy though 2 year old put him in bath twice and still works

Concerned about possible use of harmful chemicals

My son received this toy as a gift for his 6-month birthday. At the time, I remember hearing about how some plastic toys (often made in China) contain harmful chemicals that are known to cause cancer and feeling concerned that this toy might be one of them. I didn’t do anything for awhile, seeing how my son enjoyed playing with the toy and thinking (stupidly) that if this toy were truly harmful, it wouldn’t be sold in the U.S.

One day, I came across this toy on Amazon and noticed the warning to CA residents under “Product Details.” I couldn’t believe it when I read this toy is made with harmful chemicals known to “cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.” I bet a lot of people who are giving this toy 5 stars are not aware of the warning.

UPDATE TO REVIEW ON 10-28-09: Amazon has removed the warning about the harmful chemicals, and in response to an inquiry I sent them told me “Product information from the item detail is added or deleted upon manufacturers information.” Amazon suggested I contacted FP, which I did, and the FP rep said he couldn’t find anything in their records indicating the toy’s manufacturing had been changed. The toy’s production has not been altered since 2007. He suggested that perhaps the warning wasn’t accurate, and that’s why it was removed. That may be, but it seems like a pretty big mistake for Amazon to make on multiple FP toys. I see now that none of the FP toys that previously had this warning have it now.

As for my son’s reaction to the toy, he liked to bang the pieces together and put them in his mouth, but he never bothered to try to sort the shapes since the top doesn’t stay in place, as others have mentioned. My son always removed the top and took out all of the pieces, no matter how many times I showed him how to sort the shapes with the top in place. Talk about poor design! I should have given it 1 star for the “educational” rating in hindsight, but I figured that theoretically it could be of some value if a child didn’t remove the top. Also, Amazon wouldn’t let me go back and change my ratings.

I just got another shape sorter for him from Amazon (the Tolo Rolling Shape Sorter), and within minutes he tried to put the shapes in the slots because he couldn’t remove either the top or the bottom of the unit. Now that’s an educational toy!

I can see her wheels turning…

As my 14 month daughter works on getting the right shape in the right hole. It’s true that sometimes she just gets frustrated and picks up the lid and throws the shapes in the bucket instead of sorting them, but when I play with her talk to her and ask her where each shape goes she really focuses and we get them together. She looks so proud of herself when she gets them right, too! But even when she is playing by herself and taking the lid off, it’s still a very fun toy for her to put them all in, take them out, and do it all over again!

Not that great of a sorter…

This is a basic, durable, inexpensive toy. However what I don’t care for is the fact that the lid doesn’t snap on. I’m sure this is that way so babies can take it off, but I prefer the sorter that the child has to put the shapes through the holes. My baby figured out that it was easier to take the lid off! I like the Smartronics cookie jar sorter much better.

Too hard to put together

Sorry. I wanted to like this product and so did my 5-year old son. He loved the concept. But the pieces are just too darn hard to put together. My son was so excited to have a new toy that he thought he could put together himself. Two or three times, he tried for several hours to put the tower together (he was very intent on doing it himself which I thought was great), but each time he ended in tears because the tower would crumble as he tried to complete it. Great concept – poor assembly mechanism.

Not age appropriate.

Very well made and put together was then fun to play with. My son is four and is very good with his hands and putting lego’s together. It is something you need to sit down and do for them. He could not take them apart.
My daughter is 10 and it took her awhile to put this together.
And she is very swift when it comes to doing anything like this.
Not saying that it isn’t worth it, just that the age should be upped!

I purchased this for my son’s birthday a year ago. At first he was unable to play with it because he had difficulty puttingthe TRIO blocks together. Now at 5 years old, he plays with them ALL the time. Great toy for the older child.

My children’s favorite accessory pack

I have a 5 and a 7 year old and they play with Digital Arts and Crafts Studio every single day. In fact, they play with it so much, I have to limit them to one project a day because of the amount of paper they were going through.

Out of all the Digital Arts and Crafts Studio accessory packs, the Dinosaur pack is my children’s favorite. Even my daughter, who I thought would prefer the Barbie Fairytopia, sticks mostly with Dinosaur.

The children have made dinosaur placemats, invitations, calendars, crowns, menus, masks, flipbooks and more. Everything they churn out looks terrific. I’m especially impressed with my son’s ability to pick beautiful color combinations, and my daughter has an eye for choosing scenery and showing depth through sizing and placement.

Like all accessory packs, the Dinosaur pack gives the children a variety of dinosaur stamps and backgrounds to choose from that coordinate to make their crafts look great. The crafts are easy to do and involve mostly cut and tape or paste. The dinosaurs are cute and cartoony, not lifelike.

I recommend Dinosaur accessory pack over all other accessory packs, as this one seems to be my children’s favorite.

best electric car toy I’ve seen

Got this for a 2 1/2 year old grandson, and he picked up on the shaking action right away. More durable than the other cars he has, a good feature since it will bump into things a lot, and it’s faster than I expected. Works great on hardwood floors, but I doubt it would do well on carpet, typical of small electric vehicles. It’s by far the little guy’s favorite car, even after a couple months. Be warned, it “talks” with a variety of phrases, one phrase per shaking, and you can’t turn that off independently; the 101st time might get on your nerves. But from a little guy viewpoint, this is a 5 star toy.

Ok, so I bought this toy for my 1 1/2 year old. he loves it , mind you, but I find some of the material they have Elmo saying to be…less than ok for small children. I never thought I’d see the day when Elmo says ” work it baby work it!” and ” give it to Elmo!” Just an heads up for anyone thinking of buying this toy, I thought some of the dialogue was inappropriate. my son loves it! I cringe.

Elmo says what?!

My twins received this toy as a gift for Christmas. At first, I thought it was cute, Elmo tells them to say cheese, and sings a little song. After a little while, though, some other phrases started to come up. “Work it, baby, work it!” and “Give it to Elmo!” were two that immediately stood out as things I never thought I would hear Elmo say. I am really disappointed that those phrases were included. The boys love this toy, but I think the batteries may be removed soon. I know they won’t enjoy it as much if the buttons don’t cause it to make noise, but I really think some of the things this toy says are inappropriate for toddlers, or any children.

Baby LOVES it

This is THE coolest mobile I have found ANYWHERE on the internet ! Trust me, I LOOKED FOR HOURS. My baby boy loves it ! It hooks to a crib in a way that I have never seen a mobile attach, and it is perfect, the straps on the back make it easy to hook it to a bassinet as well as a crib because the straps adjust so extreme from big to small. It is good for a boy or a girl.

Absolutely great

Our son is 8 months old and we still use it (started using it when he was 2 months old). He loves looking at it and the mechanical noise mentioned by others is kind of rythmic and neither him nor us mind it at all. Be ready to replace batteries every two months or so (with daily use). Side note – I find it kind of funny it has 6, not 8, legs… Fantastic purchase, really worth the money. We’re keeping it for our next kiddo.

A bit complicated for 3 years old.

I bought this for my son for his 3rd birthday & was a bit disappointed. To get the game to work, you have to be standing directly over the sensor, holding the controller just exactly right & you have to swing with all the power of Mark McGwire during the “enhanced” years. There are times even when I have tried it out that I had to swing with almost all of my force to get any kind of reaction. It took us a few tries to figure out he had to be standing directly over the floor piece, which is fine, except for that sometimes he steps on it. I’d think after a while that won’t be good for it.

In the articles before this toy came out, it was said it was the Wii for toddlers…great, my son loves messing with the Wii, so I thought this would be perfect! Not so much, like I said, you have to have everything just right for the sensor to work, which for 3 year olds & I’m guessing even 4-5 year olds, that becomes frustrating after the 10th time you’ve been told stand right here, don’t turn the controller upside down & get your fingers off of the red bar.

Not to mention that in today’s world of video games the graphics aren’t going to wow too many kids that already have gaming systems in the house. I know things need to be childlike, but at some points the graphics are even a bit fuzzy, which is pretty pathetic.

The overall idea of the toy is good, the learning part is great, the execution needs some work. It needs to be changed to a sensor bar more like the Wii, so that the controller can just be held in the hand without the worry that it’s being held incorrectly. Several flaws around this one, not sure how Fisher Price could have had kids try this out & have had this design pass & make it to the shelves. They need revamped a lot…and the folks that have bought round 1 need to get the redesign for free. This was a lot of money to plunk down for something that’s not totally enjoyable.

Fun for a 3-4 year old

I bought this for my 3 year old son, as a Christmas gift. He enjoys playing the games and it is fairly educational at the same time. The graphics are a weak, but this isnt xbox360 – its for preschoolers. My son doesn’t seem to mind, as he is always wanting me to take it out for him to play. At times it does seem a little hard to get the console to pick up his movements, almost like a delay. Overall my son enjoys it, and has fun with this and his v-motion. [although i perfer the v-motion!]

Great idea, but disappointing

I was really disappointed in this product. I purchased it for my 3 and 1/2 year old son. The idea was great. I bought it instead of the more expensive motorcycle game they had primarily because it looked easy to unhook and store when not in use. This was easy to set up and even my kid figured out how to turn it on and switch out the different sports components. My son is truly interested in the games and educational activities, but gets frustrated because the sensor does not work right. I thought maybe he was just using it wrong so I played it with no luck. Even I gave up after a few minutes of the computer not reacting to my swings and motions. There are two arms that hook into the sensor to give the child a “zone” to stand in. The arms do not click in place and just fall out. Even when the child stands in this zone, the sensors don’t work well. I was not impressed with the quality of the graphics, but I think my kid wouldn’t have cared if only the sensor reacted better. i spent around $40.00 on this product and it sits unused in the corner.

Great boot–but heads up

Cool boot but there are some things to be aware of. First, they do run on the large side, maybe about half a size. Also, color: if you order black, do not be surprised if they look like a stone grey. Don’t assume you got the wrong boot. This is a polish or wax that was added over the darker charcoal/black leather underneath. On the tag attached to the boot, it says to buff it off with a cloth. Creates a cool look, like a two-toned effect.

Best Boots Ever!

I’ve always wanted a sexy pair of Dr. Martens. I’ve searched high and low for a pair that I would be able to wear to work and the Triumph 1914 are perfect! They are so fierce looking but the ribbon as a shoestring gives it that girly touch. They are so comfortable ( I work in retail all day) and just a dream to look at. I’ve gotten nothing but compliments since I put them on. Love it! Oh yeah, and one important thing for me, was that I have bigger calves and these are roomy enough that I don’t look like I had to try too hard to get them to fit, because they tied just fine for me.

Perfection in a boot.

I ordered the Black Noir. I just got these boots yesterday. It was a struggle to take them off last night, because I felt like a kid on Christmas that wants to sleep curled up next to their pile of goodies.

Alright, lets talk about the actual fit. Perfection. They fit like a dream, I can only see them getting more and more comfortable. Very true to size, and being a size 18(clothing), I have a wider foot and calves than the average girl. I could see them fitting a slimmer girl just as well, they have a magic “sisterhood of the traveling pants” effect.

Is it okay to admit I drooled a little when I opened the box? Words cannot describe how beautiful they are. Oh god, the black flower lining, it’s stunning too! They have this extravagant steam punk/Victorian/industrial feel. BEAUTIFUL!

Just to let you know, they are a light grey charcoal (that I’m happy with, and knew to expect). However, if you actually read the tag attached to the boot it explains what kind of finish it is (wax), and how to make the color darker or aged if you want. So, if you go into this purchase open minded and just wanting a beautiful combat boot you’ll be happy. Enjoy! I know I will.
